Kosambri




A very light and healthy snack. Kosambri is a pulse salad  along with cucumber, carrot and more.. This salad is very famous in South Indian cooking especially in the state of Karnataka, India. 

Required ingredients
1/4 cup Split green gram 
3tbsp Split bengal gram
1/2 cup diced cucumber
1/2 cup grated carrot
small piece of ginger
1 big lemon
black salt (as per taste)
coriander leaves to garnish
Green chilies (if you want that extra spiciness else avoid it)

Method:
Soak the split green gram and split bengal gram for about 3hrs
Drain the water . Add the cucumber, carrot, ginger, green chillies and lemon juice along with salt. Garnish it with coriander leaves. 

The acidity from the lemon, hotness from the chilies make this salad really yummy. Its great for snacking.

Spinach Coriander Drink

Spinach-Coriander drink is such a refreshing morning drink. Its a good  addition to your detox plan too. Popularly know as the green juice.

Required :
 1 bunch of fresh spinach(palak)
about 1/2 cup of Coriander
one small slice of ginger
1 lemon/lime juice
Little salt. (Try low sodium salt)


Making

Clean the spinach and coriander thoroughly before blending.
Mix all the above required ingredients in a blender and add sufficient amount of water and grind well to a smoothie form. Make sure the ginger is blended well and no chuck of green is left.
